When it does suit your situation though, it can be almost glorious. Here are some common pros and cons when considering working from home versus working in an office:<\/p>\n<p>Pros:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work-life balance;<\/li>\n<li>Less or no commuting time;<\/li>\n<li>Greater flexibility;<\/li>\n<li>Able to manage hours and demands better;<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t have to get up as early;<\/li>\n<li>Fewer interruptions;<\/li>\n<li>Less eating out;<\/li>\n<li>Often quieter \u2013 conducive to innovation and creativity;<\/li>\n<li>More productive (proven through numerous studies);<\/li>\n<li>Reduction in companies\u2019 real estate costs;<\/li>\n<li>No dress code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hard to set boundaries with family or employer;<\/li>\n<li>Need good self-discipline and to be self-motivated;<\/li>\n<li>Lack of social interaction;<\/li>\n<li>Hard to create routine;<\/li>\n<li>Lack of space if don\u2019t have the room;<\/li>\n<li>Technology problems;<\/li>\n<li>Danger of putting in too many hours or overworking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whatever you might choose to do, make the choice based on what works best for you at that time.
