It also celebrated the designation of 2011 as the <em>Year of the Entrepreneur<\/em>, CFIB\u2019s 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary and CYBF\u2019s 15<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>At the event, The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism) highlighted the incredible contributions that small and medium-sized businesses make to the Canadian economy, while three iconic Canadians (<a href=\"..\/cybf_press_media\/outstanding-leaders\/\">W. Galen Weston, Bruce Poon Tip and Sheldon Levy<\/a>) received honourary awards for their significant impact on entrepreneurship in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The Spotlight on Entrepreneurs event would not have been possible without the support of the following valued sponsors and partners: Scotiabank Small Business, National Post, Chase Paymentech, BDC and KPMG Enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>We thought it was an amazing night \u2013 were you there?
