This will make the selection process easier and increase the chances that you will be given more realistic options.<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, your list of requirements should address:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of transactions per month<\/li>\n<li>Annual fees<\/li>\n<li>Line of credit available<\/li>\n<li>Additional transaction costs<\/li>\n<li>Minimum balance<\/li>\n<li>Credit cards<\/li>\n<li>Cheques<\/li>\n<li>In-person banking services<\/li>\n<li>Online banking services<\/li>\n<li>Locations and branch sizes<\/li>\n<li>Institution\u2019s lending authority<\/li>\n<li>Rewards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is important to view your banking arrangements as a long-term relationship. Consider what your needs are today, and which services you may require in 18 to 24 months.\u00a0Once you\u2019ve established a relationship with your banker, meet with him or her at least once a year to offer an update on your company\u2019s finances.<\/p>\n<p>In some cases, entrepreneurs that are good at separating business expenses from personal ones choose to forego a business bank account.
