Award-winner Jeff Ryzner is renowned for helping companies commercialize technology<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toronto, May 14, 2015<\/strong>\u2014BDC and Futurpreneur Canada are pleased to name Jeff Ryzner of Winnipeg as the winner of the 2015 BDC Mentorship Award. The award was presented at Futurpreneur Canada\u2019s annual Action Entrepreneurship cocktail reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryzner has helped companies commercialize technology for nearly 20 years and is renowned for his involvement in the start-up community. He is President of The Eureka Project, Manitoba\u2019s technology accelerator, and a founding partner of three tech start-ups. He also founded the consultancy Endgame Business Strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMentoring entrepreneurs has been the most rewarding personal experience,\u201d said Jeff Ryzner, President of The Eureka Project. \u201cWhile giving back to the start-up community comes naturally to people who have been involved with it, winning an award for something you feel so passionately about is an honour and certainly a career milestone of which I am especially proud.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism) (Agriculture), congratulated Mr. Ryzner, adding: \u201cEntrepreneurs who contribute to the success of businesses and give freely of their time and experience to inspire others, are truly remarkable. The BDC Mentorship Award delivers on Canada\u2019s Economic Action Plan commitment to build a stronger entrepreneurial culture by recognizing the positive impact that Mr. Ryzner and others have on Canada\u2019s next generation of business leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
