For immediate release
TORONTO (October 30, 2017) – After two weeks of public voting, Futurpreneur Canada concluded Small Business Week by announcing the winners of the Futurpreneur Canada 2017 Awards. This year’s winners have made significant contributions to Canada’s entrepreneurial community through their leadership, grit, innovation, growth and mentorship. Their stories of success, struggle and determination are motivating for all aspiring small business owners.
When describing her proudest moment as a business owner, the Futurpreneur Entrepreneur of the Year described how entrepreneurship always challenges her comfort zone. “It’s been an exponential journey,” said Natasha Wilch, owner of Symphony Rehabilitation. “I think I’m most proud of the fact that I did not let fear take me over. When I expanded my clinic, I continued to stay true to the purpose of expansion and stay true to the team I wanted to build.”
Sheena Brady, 2017 Growing Strong Award winner, is dedicated to growing a loyal tribe around the world. “If it wasn’t without Futurpreneur Canada, we wouldn’t be able to grow into new markets and expand in the first place”, said Sheena Brady, owner of Tease Tea. “Now we can continue to do our life’s work helping to support organizations dedicated to women’s empowerment, one sip at a time . . . on just a bigger scale now!”
