BNI: An organizational culture of generosity in business and in mentoring

Laval, Quebec, June 7, 2012 – The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) Quebec is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with BNI Quebec to support the mentoring of young entrepreneurs in the CYBF start-up program.

BNI Quebec members are recognized as top business people from across a variety of industries. At their chapter meetings, these members engage with other like-minded individuals in a forum that promotes business connections through networking and referrals.  CYBF representatives will be attending chapter meetings across Quebec to inform members about the CYBF program including the importance of mentoring.  It is hoped that BNI members will take the opportunity to mentor young entrepreneurs through the start-up phase of their business, and in turn benefit from the rewarding learning experience of mentorship.

“It is with great pleasure that BNI-Quebec is partnering with CYBF-Quebec to help recruit quality mentors for young entrepreneurs of the Foundation,” said Kai Bjorn, National Director, BNI Canada. “Our organizational culture to give back where mentoring has a prominent place as well as experienced business people that we count among our members enable us to contribute to youth entrepreneurship, and ultimately make a difference in the life a young entrepreneur in phases starting his company. “

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is dedicated to growing Canada’s economy one young entrepreneur at a time. We provide youth, age 18-34, with pre-launch coaching, business resources, start-up financing and mentoring, to help them launch and sustain a successful entrepreneurial business.

“The Canadian Youth Business Foundation is proud to partner with BNI Quebec. This strategic alliance will allow our Foundation to propose experienced mentors who will accompany and guide the next generation in business,” said Norm Gray, National Director, Mentoring, CYBF. “From all over the province and in various sectors of our economy, members of BNI will provide sound advice to young entrepreneurs.”
