Kenora, ON, May 3, 2013 – The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), in collaboration with Northwest Business Centre (NWBC), is pleased to announce the business launch of Little Oak Wellness. CYBF entrepreneur Cindl Nabb has officially arrived in Kenora and will be celebrating the launch of her business this Tuesday May 7, 2013 from 3-5p.m. at 120 Fourth St. North

Little Oak Wellness is a Naturopathic Medical Clinic that focuses on individualized, whole person care, treating the underlying causes of illness, and preventing disease before it sets in. Naturopathic Medicine utilizes natural treatments including botanical medicine, diet and lifestyle counseling, Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, clinical nutrition, and homeopathy. Dr. Cindl Nabb realized her dream to open her own clinic when she met with Diane Schwartz-Williams from NWBC. Together, they developed an effective business plan and reached out to CYBF for financing and mentoring support.

“CYBF made getting a business loan easy and I received so much guidance through NWBC throughout the planning and application process. The mentorship that comes with CYBF is a valuable resource and I have already learned so much from my mentor. I am very excited to share the opening of my clinic with my community and impart my knowledge and skills to help Kenora and the surrounding areas lead a healthier and more balanced lifestyle,” states Cindl.

NWBC and CYBF have been providing support collaboratively to young entrepreneurs for the past seven years and have assisted eleven start-ups in the Kenora area. “I think the most rewarding aspect of my role at NWBC is seeing a client open the doors to their new business. We congratulate Cindl on her determination and accomplishment. As a proud community partner with CYBF, we have seen the positive outcomes resulting from their financing and mentoring services available to young entrepreneurs in the Kenora community”, states Diane Schwartz-Williams, Manager at NWBC.

Scott Bowman, Senior Director for CYBF Ontario stated, “NWBC is a fantastic example of perseverance and persistence. They are a valuable asset in Kenora. Together with their support, we are happy to continue encouraging young individuals to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career choice, and are very proud to call NWBC our community partner. We would like to congratulate Cindl on her business launch and look forward to celebrating her success.”
