With Futurpreneur, it was not just about being given the right directions, the good thing about their program is that they match you with a mentor. This is good because sometimes entrepreneurs think that they already know everything, and when you meet with your mentor and you share all your thoughts, your problems, your ideas, you’re able to get advice from a person who’s outside your business.

So many young entrepreneurs who are Indigenous can find it a bit daunting to approach an organization they don’t know much about, right? But, I tell them, Futurpreneur really made an effort. I felt my message and my business idea were very well-received. I got a lot of feedback, a lot of encouragement. I felt welcome.

Futurpreneur is very close to my heart, not just because it gave me the money I needed, but because it promotes entrepreneurship. They understand how important small business is to our society and how many people’s lives are touched by it.
