Canadian Youth Business Foundation Opens First-Ever Saskatchewan Office

April 7, 2011

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN — April 7, 2011

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is pleased to announce the opening of a new regional office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The opening is a significant occasion for the organization, which works to champion youth entrepreneurship from coast to coast to coast.
The office, located at 129-21st Street East, Suite 301 in Saskatoon, SK, provides an environment for young entrepreneurs to learn about CYBF’s start-up financing, pre-launch coaching, world-class mentoring and online resources.

“With Saskatchewan’s growing economy and the amount of youth choosing entrepreneurship as a career, it is an exciting time to be a part of CYBF in the province of Saskatchewan,” says, Jeff Taylor, director of Saskatchewan, CYBF. “CYBF looks forward to deepening our commitment to Saskatchewan and its innovative young entrepreneurs.”

Since 1996, CYBF young entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan have successfully launched 100 businesses, which have created over 536 new jobs for the province. In 2007, CYBF partnered with the Small Business Loans Association (SBLA) and the Government of Saskatchewan to expand business opportunities for youth in the province. This commitment was presented as a Memorandum of Understanding, through which CYBF and SBLA pledged to promote one another’s programs for young entrepreneurs. The opening of a CYBF office in Saskatchewan further strengthens the organization’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship within the region and highlights their dedication to providing the resources necessary to successfully start a business.
