Celebrating Small Business Month

Futurpreneur | October 1, 2013

Now in its seventh successful year in Canada, October – unofficially known as Small Business Month – is a time of year that recognizes the important contributions entrepreneurs make to the economy and to their local communities.

Traditionally (dating back to 1979), the third week of October is referred to as Small Business Week, and this year it’s happening between October 20 and 26, 2013. Led by our co-financing partner, the Business Development Bank of Canada, the week includes many free local events and activities such as workshops, seminars and conferences that are held by many organizations offering valuable support and resources to foster the growth of small businesses across the country. Find a local event near you and remember to use #SBW2013 in all of your tweets.

At CYBF we understand that starting and running a small business involves many hours of planning, pitching, networking and hard work, and it also requires forward thinking to maintain and build upon a solid start. We wish to congratulate and celebrate young entrepreneurs from coast-to-coast for their achievements over the past year, and for continued success in the future.
