Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2013 in Brazil
As Canada’s Host of Global Entrepreneurship Week in Canada, happening this year from November 18-24, we invite you to join us at the event that sets the stage for Global Entrepreneurship Week and builds international connections for Canadian entrepreneurs: the 2013 Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC), being held in the beautiful heart of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from March 18 – 21.
The 2013 GEC will bring together over 1,000 entrepreneurship champions from more than 130 countries to network, learn and share ideas on how best to help new and young entrepreneurs flourish in their countries. The 2013 GEC will focus on the leaders building the best entrepreneurial ecosystems in a wide array of economies and build on the 2012 GEC in Liverpool (see www.gec2012.com), which attracted more than 3,500 entrepreneurs, policymakers, academics and others, including Richard Branson and other of the world’s most successful and innovative entrepreneurs.
The 2013 GEC week is packed with official and fringe events designed to help entrepreneurs be more successful in starting and growing their businesses, meet and learn from other entrepreneurs, and help improve the environment for entrepreneurship through partnerships, awareness building and better domestic and global policy making. The GEC will also provide a unique window into successful Brazilian business models with potential for being replicated.
There is no registration fee to join the GEC, but participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses and for obtaining a travel visa to enter Brazil (visit http://ottawa.itamaraty.gov.br/en-us/ for details).
