CYBF and Innovation PEI working together to support young entrepreneurs in Prince Edward Island

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Innovation PEI. The creation of this partnership will ensure that all eligible young entrepreneurs in the central of Prince Edward Island can access the CYBF program.

Entrepreneurs that are interested in CYBF programs, in communities across Prince Edward Island that are not currently represented by a CYBF community partner, can now access those programs through Innovation PEI in Charlottetown.

CYBF offers young entrepreneurs age 18-39 a start-up package of mentorship and financing of up to $25,000 via low interest rate start-up financing and may qualify for a match or double match of financing up to $30,000 via CYBF’s partnership with BDC- Business Development Bank of Canada.

“CYBF is proud to be working with Innovation PEI to support entrepreneurs achieve success,” says Nicole Osmond – CYBF Director Atlantic Canada. “This new partnership with Innovation PEI will allow our two organizations to work collaboratively in our shared goal of supporting entrepreneurs realize their dream of opening their own business. We are thrilled to join forces in our effort to create a vibrant economy and celebrate the successes of young entrepreneurs.”

“Through this new partnership, Innovation PEI will better be able to facilitate mentoring, guidance and support for aspiring Island entrepreneurs and early stage companies,” says Innovation and Advanced Learning Minister Allen F. Roach. “We know that starting something new can be daunting for young entrepreneurs; through this program, we want to help surround young people with experienced, well-networked and supportive mentors, who can walk alongside them and help them navigate through both the trials and the successes of establishing a business.”
