Led by Futurpreneur Canada, 30 young entrepreneurs will travel to Buenos Aires this September to represent Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit

TORONTO, CANADA – APRIL 18TH, 2018 – As a founding member and official Canadian representative of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA), Futurpreneur Canada is proud to announce the 2018 Canadian G20 YEA delegation.
29 of our nation’s best and brightest young entrepreneurs will represent our country at the summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina this September.
The G20 YEA is a collective of organizations across the G20 countries that work to promote and advance youth entrepreneurship, representing over 500,000 young entrepreneurs. Each year, the G20 YEA brings together hundreds of the world’s top young entrepreneurs and knowledge partners at an annual Summit to develop connections, share ideas and influence G20 policy.
The application process for this once in a lifetime opportunity began in January. Futurpreneur Canada was honored to review submissions from young entrepreneurs across the country eager to influence G20 policy while accelerating their business interests abroad.
This year, 29 Canadian entrepreneurs leading growing businesses were selected to represent Canada on the international stage. The Canadian G20 YEA delegates will travel to Buenos Aires from September 18th – 21st to participate in a variety of business-building, policy-making and networking activities alongside 500+ young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial leaders from across the G20 countries.

Ambreen Khan, Momentify
Ambreen’s work on social entrepreneurial projects has taken her to several different countries around the world, competing in international competitions and receiving training in design thinking and lean startup methodologies. Equipped with a global experience, Ambreen developed a unique lens for problem-solving that led her to start her own venture.
Brian Bondy, Brave Software (ON)
Brian is the co-founder and CTO of Brave Software and the Basic Attention Token (BAT) platform. Prior to Brave, he held lead positions at Khan Academy, Mozilla, and Evernote. He also founded and sold a company in the backup software industry. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with honours from the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo.
Casey Binkley, HaulerAds (ON)
Serial entrepreneur in BC, Alberta, Yukon, Ontario, NB, PEI and NS, Casey is currently building HaulerAds, a data-fueled mobile billboard advertising company. Casey previously worked in manufacturing, distribution, recycling, special events, gold mining and door-to-door sales. Growing up as a competitive ski racer in Winfield, BC, his favourite things about Canada include its size, diversity, and environment.
Cassandra Pichette, Greatway Development Inc (QC)
Cassandra Pichette has a law degree from Laval University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. Passionate about real estate and entrepreneurship, she decided to follow her vision as a real estate developer by creating her own company Greatway Development Inc. Cassandra Pichette carbide to the business world and already sees her company internationally. She aspires to inspire other women and young entrepreneurs to believe in their dreams and she is involved with several organizations.
Cierra Bray, Cgal Media (ON)
Cierra Bray is an entrepreneurship advocate, community catalyst, and sustainability voyageur.
She is the founder of an event planning and social media consulting company called CGal Media, a community organization empowering entrepreneurs called WE Rise and YQG Talks, a monthly event that allows leaders and entrepreneurs to share their career and story of why they live in their community.
Colin Knox, Passportal (AB)
Colin founded his first tech company in 2009 which grew to 22 employees before successfully exiting and selling the business at a point of multi-million in revenue. As the Founder & CEO of Passportal, Colin has driven significant revenue growth in the business, with customers in 32 countries.
Dallas Price, Leo Prestte (MB)
Dallas Price is the Director of Business Development & Co-Founder at a Canadian creative agency start-up, Leo Prestte. Leo Prestte is recognized for developing brand strategy, & identity systems for start-ups and growing organizations. Dallas’ work revolves around collaborating with start-ups in a variety of sectors including tech, e-commerce, finance, social enterprise etc. to foster ideas & develop successful branding frameworks.
Ehsan Movasaghi, Twisted Leaves (ON)
Ehsan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from UofT. After his graduation he decided to unite his family heritage and his science knowledge, coming up with the idea of Tea+Vitamin. He is now the only Canadian company with a permit from Health Canada to enrich tea.
El Bachir Esmarri, Sympl (QC)
El Bachir Essamari is a digital marketing expert, growth hacker and social media strategist that focuses on the importance of education and the necessity of sharing knowledge. As a very versatile individual, Bach has been part of many different entrepreneurial ventures from app development, e-commerce and service agency.
Eman Bachani, Meraki Design House (ON)
Eman has always found pleasure and inspiration from reading about the stories and success of entrepreneurial women. Knowing she wanted to have something to call her own, she launched Meraki Design House. This lifestyle e-commerce company combines eastern design into western life by collaborating with artisans from around the world to re-design traditional lesser known crafts into both staples and wearable art for the modern woman. When she is not working to build the best consumer experience at Meraki, she is handling product development and exports for Premier Polmarex Inc’s health food brand “NutroGusto”.
Faaria Wali, StreetTeams.ca (ON)
Faaria is the Owner and Managing Director of StreetTeams.ca, a national promotional staffing agency. She’s had the opportunity to lead amazing young people and work with innovative clients. She is also the founder of an app in stealth mode and an MBA Candidate at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics
Frank Collins, Danger Dynamite! (SK)
Having strong background in design, entrepreneurship, economics and political science has proven to be a potent combination in work and life. Through his education and life experience, Frank has developed unique skills, perspectives and the ability to produce spectacular ideas for how business and marketing needs to work.
Ingrid Cespedes, Alliance Latam (QC)
Ingrid Céspedes is the Founder and CEO of ALLIANCE LATAM, a Canadian consulting firm specialized in accelerating business growth in international markets, having successfully led multi-sectoral expansion projects in several countries. Ingrid has also held other key positions empowering entrepreneurs and connecting them to the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Canada.
Jeff Alpaugh, Dangerous Dress Shirts (NB)
Jeff served in the Canadian Army as an Infantry Captain with PPCLI. He is the driving force behind Jeff Alpaugh Custom, home of the World’s Most Dangerous Dress Shirts. Jeff recently pitched on CBC’s hit show, Dragons’ Den, which aired in the Fall of 2017.
Lina Alvarez, The Barre Jar (ON)
Lina Alvarez is the founder of The Barre Jar, a lifestyle brand dedicated to women who are driven by their passion for barre to accomplish their goals and live a healthy life. Prior to funding her business Lina worked with Canadian entrepreneurs to help them take advantage of international business opportunities.
Marco Bérubé
Entrepreneur, trainer and speaker, Marco Bérubé lives in the city of Mont-Saint Hilaire, where he grew up. Over the years, he has developed a rich experience in the Web industry. Consultant in international trade from 2007 to 2013, Marco Bérubé has helped dozens of companies to enter the market in Canada, the United States and several countries in Latin America. He then founded Agence MOBUX in 2015, an agency that specializes in social media strategy.
Agence MOBUX now has 9 employees and won, in November 2016, the prize for the best service company of the Vallée-du-Richelieu Chamber of Commerce.
With around a hundred clients, Agence MOBUX is positioning itself as a leader in social media in Montérégie. Marco Bérubé also gives numerous conferences and trainings to raise awareness of the importance of good social media practices.
Milos Skrga, Mobilus (QC)
Milos Skrga is Founder and CEO of Mobilus, a SaaS platform for last-mile delivery management. Prior to Mobilus, Milos spent 5 years as process engineer for Neptune, a biotech company and Teledyne Dalsa, a microelectronics fab. Milos holds a Chemical Engineering degree from Sherbrooke University.
Nancy Couette, Little Yogi Company (QC)
Nancy is the owner and founder of Little Yogi, a kid’s clothing line based in Canada. After many years studying child’s development, I followed my gut and made the jump to drive my own company. I’m a driven woman looking to have a powerful impact on children’s lives through gender equality.
Omar Kandel, OSAR Enterprises Inc.
Omar Kandel is the founder and CEO of OSAR Enterprises Inc. He identifies as a global citizen, believer in social responsibility, and a feminist. As a co-founder of the DOT movement, along with Manar Alesayi, they are focused on environmentally friendly products, assisting communities in need and the bridging of cultures.
Peter Francis, HelpMeOrder (NL)
Peter is a Computer Engineer, entrepreneur, husband and father of 2 preschoolers. Peter Graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Computer Engineering. After working in electronic chip design and marketing for 10 years, Peter is now focused on growing HelpMeOrder to become the ultimate tool for discovering hidden gems at restaurants.
Ray Del Cojo, Lightenco (Ottawa)
Ray is an engineer, masters in science and business passionate, has participated in 3 different startups and been an entrepreneur since the early stages. Blessed by studying and living in several countries, Ray has been able to grasp cultural differences that mark the way businesses differ in several world regions.
Reid Hemsing, Two Wheel Gear
Reid Hemsing is the president and founder of Two Wheel Gear, a lifestyle brand for professionals that bike to work. His team was awarded “Best Marketer” by Small Business BC in 2018. He is an artist, entrepreneur and marketer receiving the Business Mastery Award by Tony Robbins in January 2018.
Stephanie Limage, Limage Media Group
Stephanie is a visual artist, director and producer. She has been working in Haiti for over eight years where she created Limage Media Group, a social enterprise which provides full production services as well as digital media, job creation, education, tools and media literacy training to marginalized individuals.
Taran Ghatrora, Ellebox (BC)
Taran believes in shattering glass ceilings and is passionate about advocating for women’s reproductive health. She has a background in Law, and studied at Cardiff Law School in Wales and UBC Law School. She is co-founder of an organic tampon start up called Ellebox. Taran is a 500 Startups fellow and received BC Business’ 30 Under 30 award in 2018. Taran shapes Ellebox’s long-term vision, strategy, and narrative to support today’s generation of confident and informed women.
Tristan Rahman, Rizer Social (ON)
Tristan is a 27 year-old digital marketing and advertising professional and now, recent entrepreneur. He is currently growing a social media influencer technology business which caters to media agencies and corporate brands worldwide. Past roles include media planning for General Motors Canada, Microsoft Canada, and AOL Canada.

Olivier Letard, a Futurpreneur Canada Board member, is a dynamic, well-known leader and serial entrepreneur who has created and invested in internationally recognized and successful businesses from a variety of industries, such as engineering, film production, software, restaurant businesses, real estate and travel.
G20YEA Sherpa for Canada – Fiona Wilson
As Manager of Government Relations for Futurpreneur Canada, Fiona implements an effective government relations strategy for the organization across Canada and beyond. Through leadership and advisory roles with the G20 YEA, B20 and Y7, she is passionate about engaging young entrepreneurs in the policy decisions that affect them. A Masters of Public Policy graduate of the University of Cambridge, Fiona worked within government in the UK and Alberta before joining Futurpreneur Canada.
Partner – Philippe Tremblay
For over 20 years, Phil Tremblay has been an entrepreneur and global immigration attorney. As such, Phil regularly acts as a mentor and advisor to many new entrepreneurs and business executives around the globe. He is a knowledge partner on the G20 YEA Entrepreneurship Mobility Working Group, and an active member on the Global Analytics Committee at the prestigious American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Phil is fluent in English and French, with basic Spanish. He is also an avid and experienced traveler, having set foot on over 80 different countries so far.
Partner – Alexandre Fainberg
Alexandre Fainberg is a business process reengineering consultant and canny entrepreneur.
Fainberg has worked over 20 years in the aerospace and defense, banking, telecommunications, and retail industry with notable clients such as Bombardier Aerospace, National Bank of Canada, Rolls Royce, Videotron and Cirque du Soleil. He has also participated in 5 different start-ups.
His areas of expertise are strategic business modeling, sales and distribution, logistics and materials management. A full member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, he holds a BComm (2000), and MBA (2006) from the John Molson School of Business, and several certifications from software giant SAP AG.
Partner – Andre Garber
Andre Garber is the founder of the Dentons Canada Startup Program, a program designed to successfully launch startups into the marketplace. Based in Dentons’ Toronto office, Andre focuses on corporate law with a strong focus on the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sectors. He advises startups and entrepreneurs on a broad spectrum of legal matters, from commercial arrangements to capital raising and exit strategies.
Andre is also the Director of Strategic Ventures for Dentons. Andre is responsible for reviewing new products and services lines for Dentons along with collaborating with technology companies to co-create solutions for the legal industry. Andre also is a Strategic Advisor to Nextlaw Labs, assisting with Nextlaw’s investment matters.
