Futurpreneur Canada™ mourns the passing of former CEO Vivian Prokop Mirchandani
TORONTO (January 4, 2018) – Futurpreneur Canada offers its condolences to the family and friends of Vivian Prokop Mirchandani, who served as Chief Executive Officer of Futurpreneur (then known as the Canadian Youth Business Foundation or CYBF) from 2002 to 2012. During her tenure as CEO, Ms. Prokop’s passion and dedication helped the organization to become a globally-known champion for youth entrepreneurship. Ms. Prokop also co-founded the G20 Young Entrepreneur’s Alliance and chaired its first Summit in Toronto in 2010, and led CYBF’s participation in the Youth Business International network founded by Prince Charles.
“Vivian’s work supported the launch and growth of thousands of Canadian businesses,” said Julia Deans, CEO of Futurpreneur Canada. “She was an inspiration to many through her leadership and a recognized trailblazer in her work. Canada has lost a highly accomplished leader and a strong booster of youth entrepreneurship.”
On behalf of the entire Futurpreneur community of entrepreneurs, mentors, partners, board members and staff, we extend our deepest sympathies to Ms. Prokop’s loved ones.
