Growing City named Best Green Business in the 2012 Canadian Youth Business Foundation Chairman’s Awards for Best Business

TORONTO, ON (October 18, 2012) – During Small Business Week®, the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is pleased to announce that Growing City has been selected as the Best Green Business for the 2012 CYBF Chairman’s Awards for Best Business.

The Award recognizes a business that embodies sustainability, or offers a product or service that provides a clear environmental benefit. As the category winner, Growing City will receive a $1,000 cash prize and will vie against four other category winners for the National Best Business award, a $25,000 cash prize for business expansion.

The Award winners are among thousands who have received coaching, business resources, start-up financing and mentoring through CYBF to help them launch their businesses. The Award will be presented at a ceremony in Toronto on November 14, 2012, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Canada celebrations.
